The lovely Lynn Bryant contacted us regarding any fabric off-cuts we might have; She explained that she makes catheter bag totes for the young patients of Great Ormond Street Hospital. We were touched by Lynn’s selflessness of spending not only her time, but even her own money to help brighten up a miserable situation – because let’s face it, no-one (least of all a child) should have to carry a catheter bag around. However, with Lynn’s help at least they can carry something fun and bright that hopefully they’ll feel a little less self-conscious about wearing!
We wanted to help Lynn as much as possible, so we put Amanda’s design skills to the test and she created this amazing fabric exclusively for Lynn’s project, which the wonderful people at our printing firm printed 2 metres of, for free. 2 metres will make 15 tote bags, but we would like to do more. If you would like to help us support Lynn in the amazing work she does, you can order a metre of fabric (or more!) for £21, which can make 7 tote bags.
£21 per metre is the actual cost of production, we are not making any profit - and there is no delivery charge. The fabric will be delivered to us and then we will personally pass it along to Lynn. All bags are gifted to patients of GOSH, not sold. The tote bags have been gratefully received, with Lynn being thanked personally by GOSH staff.
Donations of any amount are welcome, and for every £21 we receive, we'll order a metre of fabric.
